Welcome to the PREIS SCHOOL in Florence, Italy.
It is with outmost pleasure that I am introducing you the International and European School of Perinatal and Reproductive Medicine, The Preis School, which is held under the auspices of the European Society of Perinatal Medicine (EAPM), the World Association of Perinatal medicine (WAPM), the World health Organization (WHO), Unicef, Emergency, March of Dimes, the European and Chinese perinatal and reproductive network (ECPRN), the European and Indian Perinatal and Reproductive Network, the International Association “Birth and Culture”, the Meyer’s Children Hospital and many other International Associations.
The School has a permanent site in the prestigious medieval building of the "Ospedale degli Innocenti" which was the first child hospital built in Europe, by the master architect Brunelleschi.
Nowadays, the building is in part a museum and a picture gallery, and is partly devoted to conferences and meetings. It is also the permanent site of the Unicef research office in Europe.
Therefore, the headquarters of the School and the site of courses, meetings and conferences organized by the School will be all held in this prestigious and historical place which offers nonetheless all the commodities and facilities for audiovisual meetings. Moreover, within the Institute there is a cafeteria, so the students will be able to enjoy lunch and coffee/tea breaks in the same place as they attend courses.
Thanks to the city of Florence Mayor and officers, the School will benefit from a special convention with nearby hotels situated at the centre of Florence and it will have also a connection to all guided visits to all historical places and museums in the city.
I believe that is a unique opportunity for holding meetings, conferences and courses and consensus meetings in a framework which is at the same time historical and very modern and situated in the centre of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Florence is connected with the main international airports in Europe and by fast train to the major cities of Italy and Europe as well.
Furthermore the School will collect the top level scientific contributions from the most important Key Opinion Leaders of the obstetrical, gynecological and neonatal international horizon.
As the Director of the School, I will be supported by an International Scientific Board with the most well known experts in the perinatology and reproductive medicine fields.
I look forward to welcoming you to visit the School facilities in Florence.
I wish we can cooperate to build up one of the best teaching and training places in the world, devoted to maternal, fetal-infant and reproductive medicine.
